Completion of Work

In week 18, remediation work will take place on the ground floor of the parking garage. This will require the use of a generator, which may cause noise disturbance. By week 20 (mid-May) at the latest, we will complete the work in the basement, and it will be reopened. By the end of June 2024, all work will be completed. The parking garage will then be reopened and easily accessible.

What has been renovated/changed?

The work and structural renovation were necessary to make the parking garage future-proof. The entrances to the garage have been widened, and additional disabled parking spaces have been created on the ground floor. A new parking system and new equipment (cashless) have been installed. Additionally, signage has been updated. The floors have been given a new coating, and the walls, ceilings, frames, and doors have been painted. Not all changes are immediately visible. For example, the ventilation system has been renewed, and the drainage on the ground floor has been replaced.

Reason for Delay

The work in the parking garage has been delayed. The structure turned out to be worse than initially thought, requiring a more extensive renovation. The basement has been provided with an entirely new reinforced concrete floor. And the ground floor has also been given a new layer of concrete. Due to this extension, we encountered a colder period, making it impossible to coat the floors. This is not possible in low temperatures.
