PARKING GARAGE STATIONSPLEIN
Since December 2020, Vastint has been the owner of the Beresteyn building complex located at Stationsplein in Haarlem. Vastint intends to redevelop this complex. In anticipation of this, Vastint will commence the renovation of the parking garage starting from March 20.
What are we going to do?
Extensive maintenance of the interior of the parking garage will be carried out on the basement and ground floor. The floor coverings will be replaced, and the layout and interior will undergo a transformation. Additionally, the basement will be equipped with new fire safety installations. On the outside of the parking garage, apart from a few minor repairs, there will be no changes for the time being.
Where will cars park?
During the works, day parking will be discontinued. The basement will be completely closed, and the ground floor partially, depending on the work area. Subscribers can continue to park in the garage during the renovations. It is essential for them to have their subscription card with them, as license plate recognition may not always work. Subscribers will receive further information from Interparking.
What will you see and notice?
The first step is setting up the construction site. Fences will be placed at the entrance of the garage, and we will provide the necessary signage. The works themselves will not go unnoticed. Especially the removal of the floor coverings is expected to generate some noise. To minimize noise disturbances, sound-absorbing measures will be implemented.
Transport
During our activities, regular transport will occur for the delivery and removal of construction materials. Vastint aims to schedule this outside peak hours as much as possible. Materials will be unloaded by trucks at the loading and unloading zones. Afterward, they will be stored on the construction site, outside next to the entrance, or inside the garage. Work vans will be parked inside the garage as much as possible.
Who will carry out the work?
Vastint has selected Vogel BV for the activities. Vastint entrusts the environmental management to the communication agency De Wijde Blik. De Wijde Blik is the primary contact for questions and will, in close consultation with the contractor, keep stakeholders informed about developments and the schedule.
What is the schedule?
The works will commence on March 20. We will start by setting up the construction site outside and removing some concrete parts on the ground floor. Subsequently, the current finishing layer will be removed from the floor of the ground floor and the basement in various phases. The work is expected to last approximately 27 weeks. This means that the activities will be completed around early October.
Working hours
Working hours are Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 19:00 (in accordance with the permit). In practice, work will often be carried out from Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 17:00. It has been agreed with the contractor that activities causing potential (noise) disturbances will not start before 08:30.
